New LiquidMetal casing iPhone may debut in October - Reports

Independent reports suggest that the next iPhone may debut in October and use LiquidMetal for its outer casing.
Korea IT News quotes "industry sources" to suggest that the next next iPhone is likely to adopt LiquidMetal for its outer body. LiquidMetal is an alloy of zirconium, titanium, nickel, copper and an iPhone made out of this material would have an "outer surface smooth like liquid", according to the publication.
The report also suggests that the next Samsung Galaxy phone to be unveiled on May 3 has a body made of ceramic.
Meanwhile Businessweek quotes Gene Munster, an analyst at Piper Jaffray, saying that Qualcomm is having trouble meeting demand for components it is expected to supply for the new iPhone. This, according to Jaffray, indicates that the new iPhone is unlikely to release before October, considering Qualcomm will have to sort out any supply issues before production can begin.
Jaffray has a decent record with Apple related predictions before, correctly anticipating the release date of a few Apple products.
